Forgot to mention that WingIDE works very well with Django.

Having said that, I've often just used geany and/or vim with bash, ipython
and ipdb (on Linux, though theres no reason you can't do the same on Mac),
rather than using a full blown IDE like WingIDE. There are also free Python
IDE's, but I have no experience with any of them (especially the Mac
specific ones - though I hear Textmate is very popular (but also not free -
€45 I think))

Honestly though, if you're going to do a lot of development and want an IDE,
I think €50 is worth it and not really asking much (a night or two out
without buying drinks and you've got an IDE!) for a good IDE like WingIDE or
Textmate.
