I have to admit that I didn't understood Erik's mail at all. There
seemed to be some angryness in it, but I have no idea why and where it
might come from.

Indeed, Erik's update is under review in
debian-l10n-ger...@lists.debian.org (see
http://lists.debian.org/debian-l10n-german/2011/10/msg00072.html and
the two followups it has).

At the time, I followed up to your mail, I hadn't checked the
debian-l10n-german mailing list archives (mostly because I'm in the
middle of a week where I have a very hectic connection). So, the only
thing I knew was that Erik mention he was planning to work on the
translation update, which is why I sent this notice. 

So, as far as I see, what's needed is more a review than completing
that translation and, unless he mentions he wants to drop it, Erik
obviously has priority, here.
