both are reasonably fast
if I enter the WMS request directly both layers load reasonably fast!?
Then it is probably not a QGIS issue at all...?
I have no idea where the problem comes from because on my PC (running
OpenSUSE 11.4) both layers are fast in QGIS WebClient
In any case, sharing the project would help - to look for any anomalies.
what would you need? project and a dbdump? If you are willing to look
into this I would send it to you with a PM.
