Hi, I would also think in case someone creates a QEP, that an announcement of the QEP in the dev mailinglist would help, because not everyone checks all the repositories every day ...
Anyway - it would be great if devs and customers could inform each other better about their plans - which wasn't always the case in the past. Suddenly, a cool new feature appeared in master - but maybe someone else had a similar idea at the very same time and it would be a waste of time if people don't know from each others plans.
