Hi,

As QGIS requires a multiband file to make rgb composites,
I'm looking for an easy way to combine a set of individual geotif files into a multiband geotif file. I was thinking on a command line process, something like a gdal utility, ie
gdalcombine *.tif multiple.tif

..but gdalcombine does not exist.

I've tried with gdal_translate, but did not get with the
appropriate syntax.

Anybody with experience on a command for doing this?

(BTW, it would be so much more efficient having something like
the metafile in ENVI: the multiple band file is just a text list
of the individual files (very much like the image groups in grass)).

Thanks

Agus
