Hello,

I'm working on Cameroon coastal layer shapefile and i would like generate
several unilateral buffers : buffers only on one side (toward ocean) and no
toward continent.

How to do that on Qgis 1.8 ?

If you have a polygon layer of Cameroon then create the buffer as usual, and use the "Difference" function in Vector->Geoprocessing tools to clip out the part over the continent. The "difference layer" will be the boundary of Cameroon.

Thank you to throw light for me.

Kind regards.
