"I'm working on Cameroon coastal layer shapefile and i would like generate several unilateral buffers : buffers only on one side (toward ocean) and no toward continent."
laurent, If you create your buffer of the continental edge then erase (use the "difference" geoprocessing function) the continental side with the continent feature you'll get a unilateral buffer. Use the buffer as the "input vector layer" and the continental feature as the "difference layer. This process assumes the continent data set has a polygon geometry. -- View this message in context: http://osgeo-org.1560.n6.nabble.com/Qgis-1-8-How-to-do-an-Unilateral-buffer-tp4987586p4987690.html Sent from the Quantum GIS - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ Qgis-user mailing list [email protected] http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user
