The ReST Entity API need to support binary properties. However, this will use
the Java serialization mechanism and will not be cross platform compatible.
For all types not supported explicitly, the CompositeOutputStream should be
used to serialize a blob, and then BASE64 encode the binary and put that into
the xml element.
