This means that the thing will, indeed, have to have some kind of 
"default" facility, as envisaged earlier.
Indeed, when calling upon it via the Hot_res command, there is no job 
yet executing for which to set up the dirs. What hot_res etc al would 
have to do would be to have the thing set up defaults dir and filename. 
Once the job is executed via the hotkey and tries to get its dir, it will fail 
to find one. However, if, in addition to the job id, you pass the job name 
to the thing, this could set up the job data area at that time if it finds the 
job name in it "default table".
