Hey ho ! deja vu !
I personally recall encountering this aggro' some 10 years ago, and again only two years ago, it would be the same if I got into the process now. A pity the zipping in each OS is some similar save that it is too easy with Winzip and a pain with the sometime working QDOS versions. Am I wrong in believing that the only problem is the QL keeping extra stuff in the directory entry, in particular a programme's data space size. If a zip package, most usually acquired in PC mode, came complete with a README file with instruction how to RESPR & SEXEC with size for data. I have even messed about altering the value in a HEX editor, but confusion reigns, QDOS does use a "sensible " byte order as opposed to DOS, big or little enders . -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
