Wow, Thank You for all your suggestions and encouragement. Don't you worry, There shall be plenty of stupid, everybody knows the answer to that, questions coming from me. And here's an example..
I've noticed i can download source code ( e.g. SUPERBasic) off the web, question is ( and remember I have a Gold Card / ED drives & SMSQ/E ) can I format a disk from windows (xp pro) copy the source code onto it and get my Ql to read that disk..... I'm asking and haven't tried it yet partly because of lack of time and partly because my current Gold Card only works for about 30 minutes at a time before crashing my QL ( this is being investigated ). I'm guessing the answer will involve me having to have a Dos based version of windows like 95 or 98. Cheers guys. Neil >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 11 September 2006 08:18 >>> Morning Neil, regarding the learning of 68000 there has been a quite long running series in the QL Toady (the affectionate name for QL Today) magazine written by some bloke who thinks he can program assembler. Now obviously you don't want to start ordering up hundreds of back issues (or do you ?) so the author has converted the articles into HTML and/or pdf. I'm not sure if Dilwyn has them on his 'QL Documentation' page (see his previous email) but if not, give me a shout and I'll email them to you. I'm assuming here that you use a PC for internet access so will have a browser (Firefox perhaps) and/or Adobe Acrobat Reader ? There's also a nice HTML/pdf format version of the Motorola Programmers Details fro the 68000 series of processors - this is not the official Motorola manula, but is based on one to the 68000 documents available in text foprmat from Dilwyn's web site. Cheers, Norman. _______________________________________________ QL-Users Mailing List http://www.q-v-d.demon.co.uk/smsqe.htm *********************************************************************************** The contents of this email are confidential to the intended recipient.
