QLay should be able to do this without extra tools - I thought the tools were only needed if saving to DOS?Windows hard drives, or to access QL floppy disks? It may be worth trying out QLay 2 which is a very similar product from the same author (Jimmy Montesinos, who developed the original QLay into QLay2 and QL2K) .
