Neil,

The 'config block' was an standard/approach defined many years ago for
configuring QDOS programs.  

To configure it you should have a program called menuconfig that you point
at the program to be configured - and then it reads the config block and
gives you an interactive interface for setting all the options.

I have discovered that nothing is obvious with the QL ( well, maybe 
it is after 20+ years !! ) so I shan't automatically asume editing it
