One thing about all this chit-chat - everybody knows I'm news editor
now.
Any publicity is good publicity, eh?
QL Today has always managed decent enough news coverage under both
editors (and the few issues Jochen did alone), so let's see what we
can achieve for Quanta now. While I foresee this friendly rivalry and
good natured banter between the two organisations continuing, at the
end of the day we should be able to co-operate well when it matters
too. And I'm sure Geoff will keep us on our toes ;-)
Oh, and the nickname I put in an email to him was "Lleidr Y Cadach"
(napkin nicker, albeit the Welsh sounds nicer than the abrasive
English version) after his habit of walking out of restaurants with
napkins still affixed to his body at Quanta workshops. It won't mean
much to most, but it does to a Welsh speaker sound like the honorary
bardic names or alisases given to Eisteddfod competition bards, so he
should be proud he's been promoted to honorary Welshman ;-))
