Hi,
I received my copy on 15th January 2009 of the Quanta magazine, Volume
25, Issue 4.
Although late, due to Editorial issues. That have already been
acknowledged. I must congratulate John Gilpin, the Editor, and the
Contributors; for producing a very interesting Issue of the magazine.
With a good range of articles and news, together with a more interesting
use of the layout with photographs and screen shots.
As well as starting articles with a "dropped Capital letter", and a
consistent use of "insetting" each paragraph, that has made the
appearance of the layout have a style that is easy to read.
Although, it still follows the format of a "Newsletter", with one
article just following another. It is a good rival for QL Today.
In fact, we as ql-users, are fortunate to have two such magazines after
some 25 years of the QL's existence.
This Issue also benefits from having few long program listings.
Listings are OK if they are relatively short. However, both the short
and the longer listings are prone to printing and transcription errors.
So, better if supplied on a media of some type every now and again; or
downloadable from the Quanta web site.
