If you have opted to receive the Quanta magazine as a PDF via email, there
is a roundabout way of extracting the listing, since QL basic programs are
essentially plain text. Just use the text selection tool in the PDF reader
and copy he text to a file. You may have to tidy it up a little by hand
(e.g. to remove blank lines or page breaks), but it is possible to save
typing time until the listing appears on the website.
You can also OCR the programs - easier with the Quanta Magazine than QL
Today. I often do it when I have to look at a basic program in an old issue
of QL Today. Inevitably there are a few mistakes, but it is still quicker
than typing a program in,
