Indeed. Most modern LCD monitors only allow a few Hsync rates. My Hyundai W220D allows 1024x768 at 60, 70 and 75HZ only (with respective Vsync at 48.3, 56.4 and 60kHz). Monitors equiped with HDMI connectors however accept 50Hz and 60Hz Hsync (the Hyundai W220D accepting both for 480p, 576p, 720p and 1080p/i reolutions).
