Got a fixed dynamo myself -

I was cycling near Stirling in 1939 after the war had started. The bike lights were operated by dynamo so they went out when I stopped. A policeman came up and told me (what I knew) that the lights were out. Do you have to
have lights if you are stationary?"

Well, you 'wrote it' Dilwyn. Ball's in your court...! ;-)

John in Wales (Who [thinks] he knows the correct answer) but Q-uality L-ighting helps.
Actually, for once in my life, that wasn't me (I think it was George Gwilt???)!

Although there is one particular incident from my past which proves you do need a light when stationary (or rather your car does). Several years ago I got a fixed penalty fine for parking facing the wrong way at night in Caernarfon. :o(

How many know that's a driving offence here? OK, technically you're not driving at the time, but...

So, John, your next task is to write a QL program to interface to a car and GPS etc (once Adrian finishes his USBWiz gizmo) to warn the driver of offences imminently about to be caused - there, back on topic :-)
