Yes indeed, of course.
Even *worse* (so to speak) is in Paddington. I wanted a wired landline
as part of a Virgin Media contract. They have now stopped supplying
wired conventional landlines and can only offer a VOIP phone and a £30
pm contract, with 25mps internet.
That is *not* progress in my mind - internet down, phone down.
The beauty of the wired phone system is that, so often, when all around
is failing, the phone carries on.
