Like I say, don't get me going on this one! I've gone into some detail
to show that Tony's experience in the south east of england is not
exactly representative of what's available in the other regions of the
country.
Yes indeed, of course.
Even *worse* (so to speak) is in Paddington. I wanted a wired
landline as part of a Virgin Media contract. They have now stopped
supplying wired conventional landlines and can only offer a VOIP phone
and a £30 pm contract, with 25mps internet.
That is *not* progress in my mind - internet down, phone down.
The beauty of the wired phone system is that, so often, when all
around is failing, the phone carries on.
.... but not in North Wales I bet (8-)#

Don't worry - no doubt if the internet goes down, Virgin will provide
you with a telephone number to call ;-)
Reminds me of reading about one person's experiences of getting Virgin
installed (its a columnist in one of the newspapers) - they sent him a
new wireless router with an easy set up guide - when he was having
problems, the CD prompted him to access their website to get more
advanced help.... or "send us an email"
Ermm..... Of course, if he could access the website or send an email, he
wouldn't need the help......
