This takes A4 landscape which is useful for spreadsheets, printing a long strip although I have difficulty getting Windows to understand this.

Many years ago I baffled the Purchase Tax boys when they came every quarter to check my "books".

I used a mandraulic spreadsheet made of three foolscap sheets of analasis columns (£sd) ruled thwartwise on both sides. Cleverly the bottom/long edge was folded up for the "total" row. When the double three pages, 18" tall by 33" wide was fully cast and balanced the "Total" row was unfolded bring it to the top of the next turned page, no possibility of a posting error.

Came the QL and Psion, an end of roll of newsprint - cut into 8" logs and suspended behind a dot matrix printer. I managed to make it print the sheet sideways along the continuous paper.

It used the font code in the QL ROM eah character sliced and turned, couldn't do all that now.
