Hi Adrian,

welcome back on the list! Glad to have you with us.

The minute I've sent my pm to you I've got yours. ;-)

I did try SER_USE 266, also 267 (not 256 and 257 as in my post)

I will investigate the "very early" standard QL next week. First I will
check the hardware (e.g. with loopback cable as Tony suggests), then I will
do several tries (e.g. swap ROM chips with JM, swap ZX8302/IPC). I'll report
my findings.
