This is a minor bother with magazines, but in the grocery store, I've seen people put items like meat back on a shelf with the cereal or something like that. I saw one person bring a gallon of milk to someone else waiting in line. The person waiting in line looked at milk, decided it was the wrong type, and set it down next to the register. Did not take it back nor give it to the cashier as a "go back".

As you guys say, bloody lovely.
