Glad the Laptop still work OK.
I knew I shouldn't have said that. I took 'your' laptop with me in the car
that day, although in the end I didn't get time to use it as I'd hoped. Next
time I used it, the CD drive had packed in - it had a tumble in the boot of
the car and case is slightly dented where it had the knock, maybe the lens
in the drive has misaligned or something like that as motor works-a CD spins
up, but no data found. But if I can find a replacement drive it should be
OK.
I have QCP 3.34 Beta 3 running on a Fujitsu Amilo LI2727 fitted with a
T4200 2Ghz CPU, which running Ubuntu 12.04 & Wine 1.4 is rock solid
stable.
Although I moan about Windoze, it's fulfilled my needs reasonably well and
Windows 7 is actually more stable than older versions, it'll do for me until
I get time to learn Linux one day (just to please Norman). As long as I can
use QDOS/SMSQ on it, I'm happy usually!
Now all I need is to get a QL emulator going on my Android tablet while
watching TV and I'll be happy!
