As you mention the original QL, I looked into the datasheet of the
ethernet controller I am using for the Q68, which is the CP2200.

To my surprise, it is 5V tolerant, and it's 8 bit bus could almost
directly be attached to the QL. The timing is relatively slow, which
gives hope that it will not suffer from the QL's signal quality like the
fast PLD on the QL-SD.

For joined forces between QL and Q68, this device might be of interest.
If someone wants to build a QL ethernet card from it, I can send him the
corresponding sheet of the Q68 schematics. I have tested the CP2200 on
packet level there. This might save trouble, since there was a buggy
application note.

As you mention uIP, I had quickly adapted it to a bare-metal Q68 and
CP2200, I can send anyone the sources if interested. But it didn't work
well, there seemed to be an endianess issue or something, and I had no
time to debug it.

(I do not yet support the CP2200 with QLwIP, but if I ever find time for
QLwIP again, the CP2200 will obviously be the first device of interest.)
