Hi,
When using Hatari, beware that you don't get access to the hard disk.
I dunno why, I **presume** that it's a timing question, perhaps the
emulation does not really get to emulate a 68000 running at 8 Mhz.
.
One can see that smsqe is trying to access it, but you'll get a bad
medium error.
First I thought that the entire win code was somehow bad, but then
Michael told me that this works OK on a real machine.
This is probably also the reason why it takes so long for the cursor to
appear after the windows are drawn - smsqe must be trying to find a boot
file on the disk.
Be patient. If the cursor doesn't appear at all, try to type something
in. If that works, configure smsqe NOT to use a sprite as a cursor.
Emulated floppy disks work OK, though.
Have fun
Wolfgang
