When using Hatari, beware that you don't get access to the hard disk.
I dunno why, I **presume** that it's a timing question, perhaps the emulation does not really get to emulate a 68000 running at 8 Mhz.

One can see that smsqe is trying to access it, but you'll get a bad medium error. First I thought that the entire win code was somehow bad, but then Michael told me that this works OK on a real machine.

This is probably also the reason why it takes so long for the cursor to appear after the windows are drawn - smsqe must be trying to find a boot file on the disk. Be patient. If the cursor doesn't appear at all, try to type something in. If that works, configure smsqe NOT to use a sprite as a cursor.

Emulated floppy disks work OK, though.
