Interestingly enough, I always find one of the first signs of a civilisation
slipping into recess is a MacDonalds !
You were right about the Japanese, Italians, Americans, Scottish & English
too !
I have to say that the Paris Metro is a great way to get around - we had the
5 day pass and it allowed us to get on and off anywhere (zones 1,2 & 3)
which is very handy. The maps and directions are also excellent - made it
very easy to get around.
