looking for a lost contact lens. They were _very_ expensive in those
days and worth the effort. It gave my next door neighbour much
amusement.

... and the traders (and others) stayed in a very nice campus style
hotel (the building sponsored by the local 'development agency' - that
wasn't the name) I recall.
A very nice visit.
Oh yes, and I think that was the trip we stayed at Stuart H's place in
York on the way. The following morning, the three guests went by car
to Newcastle, and Stuart went by bike/train.
