indeed, and unfortunatelly they are pretty sucessfull.

currently this doesn't affect me much in Europe, and even in the
US I don't see how it is supposed to work. It would be quite
impractical and ridiculous if I were not allowed to disassemble 
the linux kernel because of DMCA.

it is expected to be very "difficult" at the moment. You might use
the old linux-Q40 CD with the 2.2.17 kernel which is still somewhere
around or wait some time untill I have new installation routines.
