This is because people with multiple machine do not want to connect them individually to do the updates.I urgently need to install the latest service pack on my W2k machines! SOO unpatriotic and off-topic, I know, but I dont know of any other option.The updates don't work that way. They require the machine connected, and they work out what updates are needed. This then happens automagically without an explicit file being downloaded.
