I urgently need to install the latest service pack on my W2k machines!
However, it is a 120+Mb download! and I dont have broadband. Would any of
you like to contact me about downloading this file onto a CD and sending it
to me for a fiver or so?

SOO unpatriotic and off-topic, I know, but I dont know of any other option.
The updates don't work that way.
They require the machine connected, and they work out what updates are
needed. This then happens automagically without an explicit file being
downloaded.

You have no option, I think, but to connect your machine to broadband.
If you are passing Tring I would be happy to provide a link.
I did just that the other day for someone.
Even with broadband it is likely to take a few hours. Not only is the
connection to M$ pretty slow (The latest worm scare?) but the files
take forever to install once downloaded.
It will be a two or three stab - Certainly SP1 will be separate, and I
think, with W2000, there is a second exclusive install (8-(#

PS Contact me privately first - I only need one. And please dont email this
file to me or dump it on the list! ;)

Actually no Tony.
You can select the "administrator" options and download all the updates separately without using Windows Update.
As for speeds, it takes about 15 minutes to download the latest service pack on a US broadband connection, so if Per wants it I will do it for him.
