Hmmm in 1966 Brother AFAIK only made sewing machines (probably the pedal driven kind)...
I suspect Tony converted the needle to write braille, used the pedal to power the QL (among other things and maybe his 13th shed ;-) and of course wired the whole thing with an I2C connection ;-)
