Hi. guys, I
thank you for your replies.
To give fuller picture I can
tell you I have had an Epson LQ-100 ESC/P2 for a few years and I have the
Handbook. It appears from your remarks the codes will apply to my newly
aquired printer. I have tested this out and it is so.
Because I have a selector button on
the LQ-100 for condensed print I have never had to bother with the
codes.
In the handbook it does give
CHR$15 as condensed but under the ASC11 column it is SI, not
ESC - it just prints normal text
I have discoverd ESCg which
gives 15cpi and it would almost do for condensed
The main one seems to be the Master
Select. ESC! n; It says to find the value of n,add together the
numbers of the fonts attributes and enhancements you want to combine from the
list below:
n = 0: 10
cpi
4: Condensed 32:
Double Width
1: 12
cpi 8:
Bold
64: Italic
2:
Proportional 16. Double
Strike 128: Underline
The first five numbers do
nothing , the last four do deliver,as expected, and in
combinations : 4+64 = 68 does give condensed italics 4 will work with 128, and
give condensed underline. but 4 will not work 8 to give condensed
bold.
I am nealy there thanks,
Arnold
