I agree : this is a good idea to maintain a clean system. Even if it is not mandatory.

QPC users have a simple workaround, though: Simply create a new QXL.WIN file
and, from within QPC, copy the contents of the drive you need to defragment
to the new drive, then delete the old QXL.WIN file. This takes in the order
of 5 minutes to do.
