I cannot really optimize the creation of the maps. This job does the
tool mkgmap. Also the creation of the basemap.
A few words to the tilesize: mkgmap is not able to create Garmin tiles
if the source file is too big. I dont know why, but this is the cause
for the tilesize of 1°x1°. (Maybe a memory problem of Java, I cannot
give Java more memory.)
The other thing is, the tiles dont overlap really. There are no ways
or polygons duplicated. The overlap area is only in this way: (hope
its understandable)

Way 1 is only locatedd in Tile 1 and way 2 is only located in tile 2.
The ways are crossing the border, but are not in the other tile. You
can see this if you load only one tile into QLandkarte.
