No, Im not a programmer.... :-)
I have putted all tools together with the help of my collegue, he has 
written the cutter for the osm- tiles.

The source files from the osm- planet are really big. The tile for 
Frankfurt is 123M, the tiles with nearly all streets in big cities 
like Amsterdam are much bigger. This is the Problem. The tiles from 
the Netherlands were the first running into the memory problems as 
they have importet the AND- data with all streets of the NL.

Yes, Steve is developing continously.
