I hope this is the proper place to ask for help.
Ubuntu 10.4, QL 0.17.1, Garmin eTrex Vista C, OSM map
I am not that skillful with Linux but am trying like crazy to make it work
with my gpsr. QL is looking like a fantastic program. I have, so far,
uploaded a Track from my gpsr and downloaded a Route to it. The following
is what I cannot seem to achieve, even after watching the excellent Wink
tutorial.
Questions:
1) When I do Device ScreenShot > Acquire I only get a spinning disc that
never resolves.
2) Creating a Track does not result in a ¨snap to¨ line nor do I get a
magenta line, but I can place points. In the data box I never see ¨Tour¨
but I do get added length as I add points.
3) When I convert ¨length ...¨ to a Track it is labeled as such but when I
download to the gpsr I get a beep on unit and it says ¨transfer completed¨
on the Garmin screen but nothing shows up - no Track nor any Waypoints.
