I have recently started using WMTS raster maps of Catalunya, and I find
faster than WMS ones. Another advantage is that WMTS service is
multilayer, so one map definition is enough for diferent scales
This the way that i have configured, in the add/configure TMS dialog:

This is for SRC EPSG:3857 (WGS 84 / Pseudo Mercator), also,the ICGC offers
another set in EPSG:25831 (ETRS89 / UTM zone 31N), the URL line for this is:
http://geoserveis.icc.cat/icc_mapesmultibase/noutm/wmts/topo/UTM25831/%1/%2/%3.jpeg
but this doesn't work for me in QLGT: Tiles are loaded, but in a different
zoom scale (You must to zoom OUT to start viewing some tiles that match
closer levels) I dont know if this is a problem of the server, or if it is
due to the way that QLGT requests the tiles.
( QLGT 1.7.7 / GDAL 1.11.0 / Proj4 480)
In order to try I have load this wmts service (both EPSG:3857 and
EPSG:25831) in QGIS via the Url to get capabilitoes, and it fails.(Note
that the source URL that is specified in the capability sheet and the one
specified in the IGC info webapge are not the same).
