Ok I updated the files on sf.net.

And I had a look why QMapShack wasn't able to load the WMTS version. I fixed 
one internal error. But also 
the given capability sheet of the service has an error. The file contains a bad 
URL. Anyway if you fix that 
QMapShack can load the map. And yes, it's faster than WMS because WMTS needs 
much less CPU power.

I attached the fixed WMTS capability sheet ready to be used by cutting edge 
QMapShack in the repository. 

@mitxel Yes level counting is done different between WMTS and TMS. You can use 
a bit of JavaScript to fix 
that. Have a look at the Wiki to see how Java can be embedded into the XML file:
