Unfortunately qmapshak is 0.6 in Debian Testing and 0.7 in Unstable. So 1.2 won't probably make it into Debian 8, which is a pity. > Is it already safe to migrate my data from qlandkarte GT to qmapshack > and use qmapshack solely? In addition to what Oliver wrote, I am missing some "comfort" features like sorting of items in the workspace and database as well as select & bulk operations on waypoints, e.g. select waypoints within a circle, or change icon of selected WPs. Also, it is not possible to create map image files for Garmin devices (gmapsupp format) but as this is not related to track and waypoint management one can continue to use QLGT for this task. This is not to discourage you. IMO, the track editing and map management capabilities of QMS compensate by far these missing features.
