Ah, comfort features. I can brag a bit about that :)

Selection by rectangle, circle or polygon is a feature I am interested in, too.
So there is a quite good
likelihood I will jump on that sooner or later.

Creating map images is history. QMapShack does not support old devices anyway
and creating subsets of
maps was a sport just for those old devices. Today we have large SD ram for
little money. You can have
more map on SD ram than you ever will be able to use.

Sorting. Well sorting is a bit tricky if it comes to project oriented data
handling, isn't it? And in QLGT it was
crucial to cope with the data mess in the list. In QMapShack you see an item on
the map you click on it and
you get all information. When I started to write QMapShack a year ago, I
considered sorting. Somehow I
never missed it.

Bulk operations. I implemented that stuff in QLGT. I never used it. Probably
because I hardly use pointless
POI collections. And if I do (yes I do have a few) and I do not like the icons,
I simply use a text editor to
replace the icon strings. Half a minute vs. implementing that stuff. Guess what
I choose?

But as usual, this is open source. If you really think QMapShack should sport a
certain feature, grab the
code and implement it. If in doubt, ask. I can point you to the correct spot.
Writing code is easier than you
think. It's the software's architecture that needs experience.
