Hi Ivo,

Even with version 1.7.1 you can select a single point. No need to select
3 points. The only caveat right now is that range selection returns to
default cursor after an operation. As all other functions do the same it
is just consistent. However I often reason with myself that it might be
better to stay in range selection mode and to terminate it with a right
click. I can change that.

But I really wonder what you are doing in that 30 minutes. Usually it
takes me about 5 minutes to get a track into shape. This is what I do:

* apply a Douglas-Peucker filter with 3m
* use the scissors to remove useless points at the end and at the beginning.
* use range selection to remove clouds of track points (due to breaks)
* use range selection for parts of the track with extremely bad position

If the track summary reports points with bad data (no elevation or
timestamp) I remove them with the "bad data" filter.

That's it. No need to introduce myself by first name to every track point.
