While I'm aware that this type of novice user does in fact exist, I nev-

Erm, actually it was not.  That was before you fixed issue #179.

You are  right in that  when experimenting  with QMapShack  I mostly use
tracks originally recorded  as "*.mps" files with my good ol' Garmin GPS
V back in 2002 which I later converted to "*.gpx" using GPSBabel.  These
do of course not contain any extensions.

And as far  as I'm aware the documentation  only tells how to remove ex-
tension specific data from a track using the corresponding filter.  Cur-
rently I didn't find anything  in the documentation  about how extension
data are visualized  in the map view  or in the  track details dialogue.
So I really didn't know  THAT and HOW  each extension  can be controlled
separately.

This should probably be documented.
