If you choose to install it locally, you can even use it for > on-the-fly routing. so here is current Fedora and EPEL status for QMS 1.8.0 - the desktop-ru.patch sent by Bas is needed too (desktop file validation fails) - I've updated Routino to 3.2 in Rawhide (to become Fedora 27) and built QMapShack there, I will update Routino in Fedora 26 (to be released in May) too - we carry a patch [1], because all our Routino binaries have a prefix to solve a filename conflict with some other package(s), I'll propose a patch to make the prefix configurable during build time, so no source patching would be needed - EPEL-7 is stuck with an older quazip [2] package that doesn't contain a Qt5 version of the library, so updating QMS is not possible now. One option would be to bundle quazip with QMS, but better will be to introduce a standalone quazip-qt5 package for EPEL. As a result updates for stable Fedora 24/25 will follow soon, update in EPEL-7 once we solve the quazip packaging.
