I use the 'mail' (emailadres) to let users login.
Therefore, there is no 'need' for the UID.
So, in qmail-ldap.h, I changed 

#define LDAP_UID                "uid"

to

#define LDAP_UID                "mail"

so, now everywhere where normally 'uid' is requested, it will now request 
'mail'.
