OK thanks, I'll just insert example.com then. The reason I asked is bcos I noticed that somehow spammers are able to use my server to send out their mail.
My tcp.smtp looks like:

127.:allow,RELAYCLIENT="",QMAILQUEUE="/package/mail/qscanq/command/qscanq" 192.168.1.:allow,RELAYCLIENT="",QMAILQUEUE="/package/mail/qscanq/command/qscanq"
:allow,QMAILQUEUE="/package/mail/qscanq/command/qscanq"

and my rcpthosts and locals have example.com and imap.example.com

Is/Are there anything else that I am missing ?

Have you read about RCPTCHECK and SENDERCHECK environment variable in QLINSTALL.
I think this will help you in some way.

Are you sure about
192.168.1.
ip range? Do you really want to allow entire octate in that ip range to relay mails from your server?
You may also want to enable smtp auth.

Please do not top post.

It depends.. if you want to receive emails for just [EMAIL PROTECTED]
then just define example.com, but if you also want to receive emails for
[EMAIL PROTECTED] then use example.com and imap.example.com

Hope this helps.

Subject: rcpthosts and locals

I installed qmail where the fqdn of my server is imap.example.com

In rcpthosts and locals, do I put
example.com
imap.example.com

or just example.com ?

Please advise.
