How bizarre.

-rws--x--x 1 qmailq qmail 14708 Jan 14 16:30 qmail-queue
-rwsr-xr-x 1 qscand qscand 11159 Jan 27 11:48 qmail-scanner-queue
-rwxr-xr-x 1 qscand qscand 82023 Jan 29 20:35 qmail-scanner-queue.pl

Strange thing...

Now the mail is scan (the /var/spool/qmailscanner/qmail-queue.log see it)
and it check as virus, but I received it, instead of put in quarantine
dir...

ll /var/qmail/bin/qmail-queue is owned by qscand.qscand ?

Thanks a lot.
Fabrizio

Hi Kieran,

I haven't try to setting up clamav with root user (I'm using

clama-devel /

0.66 updated).
This evening I'll try to put clamd as root user and test.
Could you please paste an 'ls -la /var/spool/qmailscanner' ? So I

restore

the original permission of that dir for testing.

Regards,
Fabrizio

running clamd as root works for me, this is why it works without a
problem using clamav 0.60, which ran clamd as root by default. This
seemed to be the lesser of 2 evils, having /var/spool/qmailscan world
writable seems messy.

Hi again,

I solved the problem of "Permission denied".
A note for slackware users (like me): for solve this problem you must

run

chmod -R 777 /var/spool/qmailscanner and this in the _only_ solution

for

working qmail-scanner-queue.pl as well.

Fabrizio
