Thank god* none of you have met the person who wrote the 'ls' command for 
Unix. Man was he a human pig of monstrous proportions**. If any of you knew 
what he was like on the "people skills" front, I'll bet that you'd all use 
"echo *" in preference to "ls".

** Yes, it's an ambit proposition. "ls" was probably authored by Richie or 
Kernighan which by my very limited experience both appear to be genuinely 
nice people on many fronts.
