Oops, you forgot the part about *not* mentioning the previous
attempts. Otherwise, this was a pretty annoying message.

I suspect the problem messages contain bare LF's. The forcecr option
to fetchmail only (as far as I know) causes fetchmail to end SMTP
commands with CR-LF, it doesn't deal with embedded bare LF's.
