mutt == yes, natively
elm == who knows?! (does anyone actually use elm anymore?! ;-)
pine == yes, with specific patches
Another excellent bet is to use IMAP (Courier-IMAP, e.g.) and automatically
allow all IMAP-aware clients to work.
